To apply for a Dealer’s License, an applicant must produce the following documents:

  1. Written application on the Company’s Letterhead
  2. Completed form of application for the Dealer’s General License- Form No. 9
  3. Certificate of Registration from The Ministry of Trade and Industry
  4. Certificate of the Incorporation of a Company
  5. Certificate of the Registered Address of the Company
  6. Town and Country Approval

For this process, there is a fee of $5,000.00
NOTE:
If there is a change of address on the application for the renewal of a Dealer’s General License, the renewal should be dealt with as a first- time application.

APPLICATION FOR DUPLICATE DEALER'S LICENSE

For the duplicate of a Dealer’s License, the applicant shall produce the following documents:

  1. A report from a Police Station
  2. A completed application Form No. 13
  3. A sworn declaration at the back of Form No. 4 (before a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Affidavits) and Form No. 8

The Forms must be submitted to the Caroni Licensing Office.

For this process there is a fee of $70.00

 

For the renewal of a Dealer’s License, the applicant must produce the following documents: 

  1. A completed Application Form No.13

  2. A valid Certificate of Motor Vehicle Insurance

  3. A letter to the Transport Commissioner requesting renewal of Dealer’s License.

There is an annual Renewal Fee of $5,000.00

APPLICATION FOR RENTAL OPERATION

An applicant who wishes to commence a rental operation shall submit the following documents:
 

  1. A Letter written on the Company’s letterhead requesting approval for permission to operate a rental company  
  2. The Letter must include the number of vehicles
  3. Town and Country Approval
  4. Registration Letter of a Company from the Registrar General

 
NOTE:
A site visit by a Licensing Officer must be conducted before approval is granted. If approval is granted, the applicant will be informed.

For the application of a Workman’s Permit, the applicant shall submit the following documents:

a. Letter of application on Company’s Letterhead requesting approval for permission to own a Workman’s Permit
b.  A Completed application Form No. 4
c.  Certified Copy
d. Valid Certificate of Inspection
e. Company Registration
f.  Evidence of Workers
g. Insurance covering additional passengers

There is a Monthly Fee of $90.00 per month (Usually issued in period of six (6) months)

Effective immediately, individuals seeking their driving records are required to provide the following:
 
1) A signed letter addressed to the Transport Commissioner, including the following:

  1. Address of Institution in relevant Country/ Province.
  2. Copy of Trinidad and Tobago Driver’s Licence.
  3. Email address.
  4. A valid Trinidad and Tobago contact number.
  5. State a preferred method of collection (Email Delivery or On-Site collection)

In-Person Submission: You may hand-deliver your request to the Transport Commissioner at the Caroni Licensing Officer, located on the Southern Main Road in Caroni, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, W.I.
 
Online Submission: Alternatively, you can email your request to [email protected]. Please ensure that the request is signed in PDF format and attached to the email.

Effective immediately, individuals seeking to relocate their Driving Test or Driving Regulations   are required to provide the following: -

  1. signed letter addressed to the Transport Commissioner, including the following: -
  • Postal Address of applicant.
  • Copy of Provisional Permit.
  • Email address.
  • Justification for the request to relocate.
  • A valid Trinidad and Tobago contact number.

NB: -   It is to be noted that only in extreme circumstances, consideration may be given to the following relocation:

  1. Arima to Port-of-Spain
  2. Port-of-Spain to Arima
  3. Port-of-Spain to Caroni
  4. Caroni to Port-of-Spain
